When we’d go out for drinks, he would always grab you and hug you and kiss you and tell you how much he loved you. Jimmy had a huge passion for living life for however long he was going to be on this earth. It was cut dramatically short, but for the amount of time he was here, rest assured, he had a great time.”
HELLYEAH & Pantera’s Vinnie Paul:“His music was very challenging and dangerous, but the Rev was always just a down-to-earth guy that was very humble, with no ego. He always treated me with the ultimate respect and I always enjoyed his presence. He was great.”
Buckcherry’s Xavier Muriel:“The music world lost a great person and musician with the passing of Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan. Jimmy brought a stylistic flare to his performance which helped take the band to a very high level at such a young age. I had the honor of touring with him and found the Rev to be a very warm and caring individual and one hell of a drummer. His music and fans were the most important things to him and no matter how big he became, he never lost track. We will miss Jimmy and all of his crazy antics. Most of all, we are all richer for knowing him. Rest in Peace.”

Ex-Eighteen Vision’s Mick Morris:“Jimmy was completely natural as a drummer and a performer. The Rev was the Tommy Lee of this generation. I remember back in 2002 when I was playing in Bleeding Through, we did a short East Coast/Canadian tour with Avenged Sevenfold. The shows were very small with an awful attendance, but one thing I remember is Jimmy and the rest of the band played like they were in a sold-out arena in front of thousands. They always went for the gold and eventually got it. They’re a true success story of five of the most talented dudes to rock this earth." “Jimmy was sincere, modest and had a heart of gold. It goes without saying he was born to rock. I am blessed to have called him a friend and to have shared a stage with him.”
Burn Halo’s James Hart:“Jimmy had an innovative style. He was able to blend rock and metal with the best of them. He was very creative, not just as a drummer, but as a songwriter as well. And he had such a warm heart. He never wanted anyone to feel left out or feel second rate. He was a special drummer and a special person. Though his short life came to an end abruptly, he lived a life one can only dream of. I will never forget him.”
Fozzy’s Chris Jericho: “He was a great drummer, but when I saw them live I was also impressed by how much singing he did. He was a great singer. He sang all the high parts. I thought he was as important to Avenged Sevenfold’s vocal sound as Michael Anthony was to Van Halen. Also, I think he was just getting started. It’s such a shame because who knows what would have happened in the future with his playing.”
remmember 2 years ago, it's so f*ckin glad to hear that jimmy has passed away. but in my opinion Jimmy is not passed away, he just gone to a little piece of heaver
